What’s the difference between Bronze and Gold service tiers?+
Bronze tier delivers business-grade NBN with priority traffic handling and Sydney-based support — perfect for small offices. Gold tier adds enhanced service handling with priority fault response and elevated escalation paths. Gold is recommended for any business where extended internet downtime directly affects revenue.
How does Business NBN differ from residential NBN?+
Business Grade NBN runs on the same physical NBN network as residential plans but with a different traffic class. NBN Co assigns a business-priority profile to Business NBN connections, meaning your traffic takes precedence over residential traffic during periods of network congestion.
Which NBN technology types are supported?+
BIZ Fast 100/40 is available across FTTP, HFC, FTTC and FTTN — the most widely deployable. Superfast 250/100 (Bronze and Gold) is available on FTTP and HFC only. Turbofast 500/200, Ultrafast 1000/400 and Hyperfast 2000/500 all require FTTP.
How do I order one of these Business NBN plans?+
Call 1300 070 747 or email sales@comstel.com.au with your business address and the plan you’d like. A Comstel specialist will confirm NBN availability, the technology type at your premises, hardware and installation requirements, and provide a full quote before you order.
Can I bundle Business NBN with other Comstel services?+
Yes. Comstel offers cloud phone systems (iPECS, AVAYA, BizTel), managed IT and cybersecurity, mobile plans, printers and other services that can be combined onto a single Comstel account. Bundling typically attracts a discount.
