These plans give you access to the Telstra Mobile Network. Every mobile and broadband data-only plan is available on a 36-month term (our lowest price), a 24-month term, or month-to-month — the inclusions are identical, only the monthly price changes. You can bring your own compatible device or buy one from us. If you reach your data limit there are no excess data charges — your speed is slowed instead.

Mobile plans can be used within Australia to:
- Make and receive calls, and make unlimited calls plus unlimited SMS/MMS to standard Australian numbers
- Send unlimited SMS and MMS to standard international numbers
- Access data and share data between eligible plans on your account

Broadband data-only plans include data and data sharing only — they don't include voice calls or SMS, and suit tablets, laptops, modems, mobile broadband routers and IoT devices.

Important things to know
- All prices shown exclude GST. Plan prices and inclusions may change over time.
- Mobile plans are for use with a smartphone in Australia; data-only plans are for data devices in Australia.
- Not for use with SMS or calls to premium numbers (e.g. 19xx), some satellite numbers, or satellite-to-mobile calls and data.
Your data & speeds
Included data has access to uncapped download speeds. Actual speeds vary with your location, local conditions, the number of other users, and your hardware and software.
If you go over your monthly data allowance you won't be charged extra — instead your speed is slowed (to around 1.5 Mbps or below), so HD video and high-speed applications may not work well and heavy users may be slower during busy periods. You'll get usage alerts as you approach your limit.
Minimum term & cancelling
Month-to-month plans have a one-month minimum term and no lock-in — there are no early cancellation charges.
24 and 36-month plans are fixed-term agreements taken in exchange for the lower monthly rate. If you cancel before the end of the term, an early termination charge applies — the full charge is set out in your agreement and confirmed in writing before you sign up.
In all cases, any remaining device, accessory or service repayments must be paid in full on cancellation. When you cancel, your service is disconnected and cancelling can affect other services linked to it. If we make a change that has a detrimental impact on you, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
Devices
Bring your own compatible device, or buy one outright or over monthly payments (some exclusions apply). If you cancel early, any remaining device repayments are payable in full. Make sure your device works on the network — especially for emergency calls.
International roaming
To use your mobile service overseas you'll need an International Roaming Day Pass, available in eligible destinations. A day pass includes a daily data allowance plus talk and text, and a data top-up is available if you use it up. In destinations where roaming isn't available, the service can't be used overseas.
Fair use & complaints
A fair-use policy applies — your service shouldn't be used in an unacceptable, unfair or dishonest way, or in a way that interferes with the network. Data allowances are for use on your own account.
If something isn't right, contact our team first and we'll work to resolve it quickly. If you're not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO), a free and independent service, at tio.com.au or on 1800 062 058.
