What Sets Fibre Apart
Why Premium Fibre Beats Standard NBN for Demanding Businesses
Symmetrical Speeds
Equal upload and download bandwidth — unlike asymmetric NBN tiers. Critical for cloud sync, video conferencing, off-site backups, and remote desktop performance.
Business-Grade SLA
Uptime service-level agreements with guaranteed fault response times. Comstel's priority support team treats fibre faults as critical — minimising downtime when issues do occur.
Dedicated Bandwidth
No contention from neighbouring users on consumer NBN. Your fibre line provides predictable, consistent performance at peak hours — not just off-peak.
Scalable Speeds
Start at the speed you need today and upgrade bandwidth as the business grows — without re-running cables or re-installing equipment. Scale with a phone call.
Locked-In Pricing
The price applicable at the time the service is activated will be applied for the life of that service — no surprise increases. Predictable telecom costs for your business plan.
Priority Australian Support
Direct access to senior Comstel engineers — not offshore call centres. Fibre customers get priority queue handling and dedicated account management.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions About Business Fibre
Why isn't the price listed on this page?
Fibre pricing is determined by site check — the cost depends on the infrastructure available at your premises and any additional cabling required. Once we run a site qualification (SQ), we provide a fixed quote that's locked in for the life of the service. The price applicable at activation applies for the life of the service — no surprise increases.
How is fibre different from standard NBN?
Standard NBN shares infrastructure with neighbouring premises and is typically asymmetric (download faster than upload). Premium fibre delivers dedicated bandwidth, symmetrical speeds, business-grade SLAs, and priority support — ideal for businesses where downtime or slow uploads cost money.
How long does installation take?
Site qualification typically takes 5-10 business days. Once the SQ is approved, installation can take 2-6 weeks depending on the complexity of the cabling required. Comstel keeps you updated throughout and can run interim NBN connectivity if you need to be online while fibre is being provisioned.
Are there contracts?
Fibre services typically come with 12, 24, or 36-month contract options — longer contracts unlock better pricing. Month-to-month options are available on selected products at higher monthly cost. Comstel will explain all options at quote.
What speeds are available?
Speeds depend on infrastructure at your address. Common business fibre speeds range from 50/50 Mbps up to 1000/1000 Mbps on the Comstel Fast Fibre product. For higher requirements, see our Enterprise Ethernet Fibre service which scales to 10 Gbps and beyond.
What's the difference vs Enterprise Ethernet Fibre?
Fast Fibre suits most SMB and mid-market businesses with predictable bandwidth needs. Enterprise Ethernet Fibre is for the most demanding workloads — financial services, large e-commerce, multi-site enterprises — with the strongest SLAs, dedicated point-to-point connections, and bandwidth scaling to 10 Gbps+.
Can I bundle fibre with other Comstel services?
Yes. Bundle fibre with BizTel cloud phones, SafeWeb cybersecurity, mobile plans, and managed IT for one streamlined invoice and bigger savings. One trusted provider, one point of accountability, simplified billing.
How do I get a quote?
Call 1300 070 747 or use our contact form. A Comstel team member will respond the same business day, take your details, and submit the site check. We'll come back to you with a fixed quote and timeline within a few business days.
