What’s Included

Built for businesses that outgrew standard NBN.

Six structural advantages over shared NBN connections — engineered for mid-market businesses where consistent performance matters more than the cheapest line.

Symmetrical speeds

Upload speeds match download speeds — 250/250, 400/400, 1000/1000. Critical for cloud apps, VoIP, video conferencing, and large file uploads where upload matters as much as download.

Dedicated line

Your bandwidth isn’t shared with other businesses or households. A dedicated fibre connection to your premises means consistent performance at peak times.

Scalable bandwidth

Start with 250 Mbps and scale to 1 Gbps as your team and traffic grow. No changing infrastructure — just upgrade the plan tier.

Cloud & VoIP optimised

Low latency and symmetrical speeds make Fast Fibre a strong fit for cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Xero, Salesforce) and hosted phone systems including BizTel, iPECS Cloud, and Avaya.

Locked-in pricing

Fixed monthly pricing on a 36-month contract — locked for the life of the service. Predictable monthly opex with no surprise rate hikes mid-term.

Australian support

Sydney-based account management and support team. One number, one provider, one team handling your service from site check through activation and beyond.

Speed Tiers

Three symmetric tiers from 250 Mbps to 1 Gbps.

Choose the bandwidth your business needs today — scale up when you outgrow it. Fixed monthly pricing on a 36-month contract, locked for the life of the service. A site qualification check confirms availability at your premises address.

Who Benefits Most

Built for businesses that live online.

Fast Fibre suits mid-market Australian businesses where the network is critical but Enterprise Ethernet is over-specified.

Multi-User Offices

Teams of 10 to 100

When dozens of staff rely on the same connection simultaneously for cloud apps, emails, video calls, and file transfers — a dedicated fibre line ensures nobody slows anyone else down.

VoIP & Cloud Phones

Hosted PBX Backbone

Cloud phone systems need low latency and reliable upload speeds. Fast Fibre is a strong backbone for iPECS Cloud, Avaya Cloud Office, and BizTel deployments at scale.

Cloud-First Businesses

SaaS Platforms & ERP

If your business runs on Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Xero, ERP systems, or cloud-hosted CRM — symmetric fibre delivers fast, consistent access without latency or congestion issues.

Professional Services

Medical, Legal & Financial

Industries where customer trust, compliance, and uptime matter. Dedicated, predictable connectivity for practice management systems, secure messaging, and document-heavy workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Fast Fibre.

How is Fast Fibre different from Business NBN?
Business NBN is shared infrastructure — your bandwidth is contended with other premises. Fast Fibre is a dedicated, uncontended fibre line direct to your premises with symmetrical upload and download speeds. For multi-user offices, VoIP, cloud apps, and large file transfers, the dedicated line delivers more consistent performance — especially at peak times.
How is Fast Fibre different from Enterprise Ethernet?
Fast Fibre is positioned for SMB and mid-market businesses with three fixed-price symmetric speed tiers from 250 Mbps to 1 Gbps — $339, $389, and $679 per month. Enterprise Ethernet is the premium nbn business tier with standardised zone-based pricing, the strongest SLA available on the nbn network, and $0 installation on 36-month contracts. Enterprise Ethernet is the right choice when your network is mission-critical at enterprise scale.
What does “symmetrical” mean and why does it matter?
Symmetrical means upload speeds equal download speeds — 250/250 Mbps, 400/400 Mbps, 1000/1000 Mbps. Standard business and residential NBN is asymmetric (download is much faster than upload). For modern business workloads — cloud sync, video conferencing, off-site backup, hosted phone systems — upload performance directly affects daily productivity.
Why is the contract 36 months?
The 36-month term enables the dedicated fibre build — running a private fibre line to your premises is significant capex on the provider side, amortised over the contract term. The contract also locks in your monthly price for the life of the service, so you have predictable connectivity costs over the planning horizon. Shorter terms may be available at higher monthly cost — ask at quote.
What is a site qualification (SQ) check?
The SQ check is a check of your premises address against the fibre infrastructure available — it confirms whether Fast Fibre can be delivered to your site and at which speed tier. The check is fast and free. Submit your address through the contact form or call 1300 070 747 to start.
What’s included in the monthly price?
The fixed monthly price — $339 (250 Mbps), $389 (400 Mbps), or $679 (1 Gbps) — includes the dedicated fibre service to your premises, locked for the 36-month contract term. Activation, installation specifics, and any required site works are confirmed at the SQ check.
What happens if I outgrow my current speed tier?
Scaling up between tiers (250 → 400, 400 → 1000) doesn’t require new cabling — the dedicated fibre line supports the full speed range. The plan upgrade is a configuration change on Comstel’s side. The new tier’s fixed monthly price applies from upgrade.
Can I bundle Fast Fibre with other services?
Yes. Bundle Fast Fibre with BizTel cloud phones, cybersecurity, mobile plans, and managed IT for one streamlined invoice. Bundle pricing applies across services — ask the sales team when you request your site check quote.
