Internet & NBN Plans

The right connection, for the right job.

From single-office NBN to multi-site dedicated fibre, we match your business to the connectivity it actually needs — not what's easiest to sell.

Why Comstel for Connectivity

Six reasons Australian businesses switch to us.

Real SLAs

Business-grade plans include 99.95% uptime, sub-4-hour fault response and credits for missed targets. Not "best effort" — actually enforceable.

Sydney engineers

Every call, email and ticket handled by Comstel team members in our North Sydney office. No overseas call centres. No chatbot triage.

Multi-carrier coverage

We're not tied to one carrier. We check availability across NBN Co, TPG, Vocus, Optus, Telstra Enterprise and more — then recommend what works best for your address.

4G/5G failover

Keep your business online when the NBN drops. Automatic failover to mobile broadband for retail EFTPOS, hospitality and VoIP calling continuity.

Static IPs & security

Static IPs included on business plans for VPN access, remote desktop and CCTV. Pair with our Bitdefender/Sophos firewalls for end-to-end security.

Bundled savings

Pair internet with phone systems, mobiles, security and managed IT for single-bill simplicity and meaningful bundle discounts.

How We Set You Up

Connected in four steps.

No vague timelines. No mystery installer calling on the wrong day. We coordinate it all.

1

Address check

Send your address. We check availability across all carriers and present the realistic options — speeds, prices, install timelines.

2

Choose & sign

Pick the plan that fits. We send a clear service agreement — no gotchas, no hidden setup fees, transparent contract terms.

3

Schedule install

We confirm a fixed install date upfront — not a 7-hour window. We coordinate with NBN Co or our fibre teams so you know exactly when to be there.

4

Activated & supported

Go-live the same day as install. Your dedicated account manager and our Sydney support team stay across the connection for the life of the service.

Common Questions

Quick answers about internet & NBN.

What's the difference between Business NBN and standard residential NBN?

Business Grade NBN includes higher-priority traffic on the NBN network, enhanced Service Level Agreements (SLAs), faster fault response times and dedicated business support. Residential NBN uses the same physical NBN access network but with standard consumer-priority handling. For most professional services, healthcare practices, hospitality and small business sites, Business Grade NBN is the right choice because outages affect revenue.

How long does it take to install business internet?

Business NBN installation depends on the address and NBN Co schedule, typically 5–15 business days. Comstel Fast Fibre and Fixed Wireless installs are scheduled directly with our Sydney team — we always confirm an installation date upfront. Enterprise Ethernet Fibre projects are scoped and quoted individually.

What internet speed do I need for my business?

Small office (1–10 staff): NBN 100/40 is usually plenty. Medium office (10–30 staff) running cloud apps and video calls: NBN 250/100 or 500/200. Larger sites or heavy cloud use: 1 Gbps fibre. Multi-site enterprises or data-intensive workloads: dedicated Ethernet fibre. Call 1300 070 747 and we'll size it correctly the first time.

Can I get fibre internet at my address?

Most metro and suburban addresses in Australia can access either Business NBN, Fast Fibre or Enterprise Ethernet. Regional and remote sites are typically served by Fixed Wireless NBN. Send your address to sales@comstel.com.au or call us — we'll check availability across multiple carriers and recommend the right product.

Do you offer SLAs and uptime guarantees?

Yes. Business Grade NBN includes enhanced SLA with priority fault handling. Fast Fibre and Enterprise Ethernet plans include 99.95% uptime guarantees, fault response within hours and credits for missed SLAs. Residential plans operate on best-effort service per NBN Co standards.

Will I be locked into a long contract?

Most NBN plans are available on month-to-month terms. Term contracts (24–36 months) attract discounted pricing and are common for Enterprise Ethernet and Fast Fibre where Comstel funds the install. We always confirm contract terms upfront — no surprises.

Do you provide a backup internet option?

Yes. We can pair your primary connection with a 4G/5G mobile broadband failover so your business stays online during NBN outages. This is essential for retail (EFTPOS), hospitality and any business that relies on cloud apps or VoIP calling.

Is the support really Australian?

Yes. Every support call, email and ticket is handled by Comstel team members in our North Sydney office — no overseas call centres, no chatbots first. Support hours are 24/6, with after-hours emergency lines for critical business services.
