String inverters handle a row of panels at one central unit — most cost-effective for unshaded roofs. Central inverters handle very large arrays (100kW+) at industrial scale. Microinverters work per-panel — best yield with shading or complex roofs, panel-level monitoring, but cost more.
Are inverters reliable?
The inverter is typically the first component to fail in a solar system — most last 10-15 years. Comstel only installs premium Tier-1 inverters with 10-year standard warranty (extendable to 20).
Do all inverters have monitoring?

Can I add a battery later?
Yes — but you need a hybrid-ready inverter from day one. Comstel can specify hybrid inverters for systems where storage is planned for year 2 or 3.
What if the inverter fails?
Comstel handles RMA and replacement through the manufacturer. Most inverters are swapped in a half-day visit. Cloud monitoring usually alerts us to issues before you notice.
