Why Enterprise Ethernet

Why it beats standard fibre.

Six structural advantages that come standard on every plan — built for operations where milliseconds and uptime are how the business makes money.

Symmetrical speeds

Identical upload and download at every tier — 250 up = 250 down, right through to 1 Gbps up = 1 Gbps down.

Dedicated line

Your fibre and bandwidth aren’t shared with anyone else — predictable performance even at peak times.

Business-grade SLA

A documented service level agreement with priority fault response — the strongest service tier on the nbn network.

Fixed monthly pricing

Pricing is fixed for the 36-month term — predictable monthly cost for your business internet, with no surprise mid-term increases.

Scalable

Start at 250 Mbps and scale to 1 Gbps — or higher via custom quote. Add bandwidth as your business grows.

Priority support

Direct access to senior Comstel engineers, with faults treated as critical and handled in a priority queue.

Metro CBD

Enterprise Ethernet — Metro CBD.

Three symmetric tiers for CBD addresses, from 250 Mbps to 1 Gbps. Fixed monthly pricing on a 36-month contract.

Zones 1, 2 and 3 are priced identically. Comstel ICT confirms your address’s zone classification during the site qualification (SQ) check, which also confirms availability and starts activation. Higher speeds than 1 Gbps are available via custom quote.
Who Benefits

Where Enterprise Ethernet pays for itself.

Built for businesses where uptime and latency aren’t nice-to-haves — they’re how the operation makes money.

Multi-Site Enterprise

Branch & HQ Networks

Connecting branches to a data centre or cloud — predictable bandwidth for SD-WAN, MPLS or cloud transit across sites.

FAQ

Common questions about Enterprise Ethernet.

What is nbn Enterprise Ethernet?
It’s the premium, business-grade tier of the nbn network — a dedicated, symmetrical fibre connection with a documented SLA. Unlike standard business broadband, the line isn’t shared, so performance stays consistent even at peak times.
How is it different from standard fibre?
Standard business fibre is typically contended (shared) and asymmetric. Enterprise Ethernet is dedicated, symmetrical, and carries a business-grade SLA with priority fault response — built for operations where downtime is costly.
What’s the difference between Metro CBD and Metro Zones 1–3?
It’s about your address location. Metro CBD pricing starts at $399/mo (250 Mbps). Metro Zones 1, 2 & 3 are priced identically to each other, starting at $525/mo (250 Mbps). Comstel confirms which zone applies to your address during the SQ check.
What does the 36-month term mean?
These plans are provided on a 36-month contract, with pricing fixed for the term so your monthly cost is predictable. Prices are quoted excluding GST. Ask Comstel ICT about current setup and connection options for your site.
What is “Low Traffic Class”?
These plans are provisioned on the Low Traffic Class tier of nbn Enterprise Ethernet. Comstel can advise whether a higher traffic class or a speed above 1 Gbps suits your workload — available via custom quote.
How do I order?
Send Comstel ICT your business address for a site qualification (SQ) check. We confirm availability, your zone classification and the speed tier, then provision the service on a 36-month contract.
