Cloud phone systems
One business number, on every device your team uses
Desk phone, laptop and mobile ringing on the same number. What a cloud phone system actually changes about an ordinary working day.
Nobody buys a phone system because they’re excited about telephony. They buy one because something in the current setup is quietly costing them — missed calls, a personal mobile number on a business card, a receptionist transferring calls by walking down a corridor.
Here’s what actually changes.
Five things that stop being annoying
- Calls follow the person, not the deskWorking from home, on a client site, or moving between the two — the business number rings wherever they are. No forwarding to set up each morning, no “try my mobile instead.”
- No more personal mobiles on business cardsStaff make and take business calls from their own phone using the company number. The customer sees the business; the employee keeps their own number private. When they leave, the number stays with you.
- Transfers actually workTransfer to an extension, a mobile or a whole group, from a handset or the app, without standing up. Warm transfers included — announce the call before you hand it over.
- Adding someone takes minutesA new starter gets an extension the same morning they arrive. No technician visit, no lead time, no waiting for a line to be provisioned.
- One bill instead of nineEvery line on one account with one Australian provider, renewing on one date.
How it works underneath
BizTel runs on the Ericsson-LG iPECS Cloud platform, hosted in Australia. There’s no PBX on your premises to rack, power or maintain. Each user gets a line, a number, and the softphone app across mobile, PC and laptop — all on the same extension.
- Unlimited local, national and mobile calls on every bundle, subject to Fair Use
- Voicemail and voicemail to email, call forwarding, call parking, call waiting
- Conference calling, simultaneous ring, extension status, internal video
- Chat, file transfer, desktop phone control, company directory, call logs
No tiered feature gating — every bundle gets the complete feature set, from the $25 app-only plan to the $60 cordless one.

Getting there
Number porting runs alongside your existing service — the old system keeps working until the new one is live and tested, so there’s no window where calls go nowhere. Handsets arrive pre-configured, and training happens before cutover rather than after.
